It's just a short walk to Carlingford town center, the Folklore park, and a children's playground. the house itself is spacious with ample room for large groups, and the bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of beds.
The property could use some updates and refurbishment, particularly with regards to the decor, furniture, and cleanliness.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Village Lodge. The value for money was excellent and the room was spacious and comfortable. The location was fantastic, with just a short walk into the village and beautiful Carlingford Lough. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making our experience even more enjoyable.
The only suggestion I have for improvement would be to have more variety in the breakfast items.

Activities such as hiking, golfing, and fishing available nearby: I felt like a modern-day adventurer, exploring the picturesque landscapes and challenging my golfing skills in the heart of nature. It was truly a thrilling experience that left me feeling alive and rejuvenated.
Cleanliness issues: Disappointing cleanliness standards.

As a frequent traveler, I often find myself needing a place to stay for transit during my journeys. The Village Lodge in Carlingford was the perfect choice for this purpose. Its proximity to the nearest airport made it incredibly convenient for my short stay. the holiday home provided all the necessary amenities for a comfortable rest, ensuring a hassle-free experience.
Although I only stayed with a group of friends for a short time, I noticed that the fridge freezer could have been larger to accommodate a bigger family group.

The room was super cozy with a homely vibe. It had two bathrooms with a shower and a hairdryer! As a family, it was such a relief not to wait for our turn in the morning rush. Loved it!
Personally, I didn't enjoy the view from our room. But hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, right?
